  1. I’m the Egyptologist from Stretford, Manchester, who told Noddy Holder that I’d spoken in various places from Toronto to Dukenfield (to great amusement of the team). Oh and by the way, I graduated from Edge Hill College in 1981, so was at EHC the year before Stuart!

  2. Oh, and I was the one who had suggested the link as Derek and the Dominoes’ Layla had been written about George Harrison’s wife, Pattie Boyd. In addition, ‘Derek’ (i.e. Eric Clapton), played guitar on the track, which had been published on the Beatles’ ‘White Album’.
